Operation: How to replace the alternator in the Mercedes E-Class?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the alternator in the Mercedes E-Class, an all in all simple operation but which requires good manual skills. First of all, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, in order to operate in safety, then remove the upper plastic cover and then the air filter box. Optionally, we can remove the turbocharger in case we need more space. At this point, release the belt, unscrew the alternator fixing bolts and disconnect the rear connector. To fit the spare part, simply follow the reverse procedure.
