In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the alternator in a Mercedes E-Class. This operation is relatively simple but requires good manual skills.

First, open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to work safely. Next, remove the upper plastic cover and then the air filter box. Optionally, you can remove the turbocharger if you need more space.

At this point, release the belt, remove the alternator mounting bolts, and disconnect the rear connector. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
