How does the Mini's adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function work?

Model: Mini Mini R60, Countryman1 - Years 2010-2016
Part: Instrument cluster

In this video we can see how the adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function works on the Mini; this system allows us to maintain a constant speed on the road and is activated by pressing the button located in the center of the keyboard on the left side of the steering wheel; consequently a green light will turn on inside the display and we will adjust the speed with the +/- buttons on the same keyboard; the system achieves significant deceleration with the pressure on the brake pedal. If we press the brake pedal, the function goes into stand-by mode and we can reactivate it with the "resume" button. Pressing "cancel" will cancel the set speed. The small buttons on the right allow us to adjust the distance from the vehicle in front of us, thanks to the camera located on the windshield, which allows this function up to a maximum speed of 140 km/h; if the vehicle in front of us stops, the system is able to restart autonomously following the vehicle in front of us.

Grip the plastic cover from both ends as shown in the video, pull until you hear a click, then pull to release the first knob. When you return the trim to its housing, you will see that the knob remains outside; now you can remove it. Repeat the same procedure for the second knob. Once you have finished removing all the knobs, perform the appropriate maintenance and reassemble everything.
