How the Start & Stop System Works on the Mini

In this video, see how the Start & Stop system works on the Mini. The button for this feature is located next to the ignition and is set to activate the Start & Stop by default. If you press the button, a LED lights up indicating that the function is disabled. When activated, this feature causes the engine to automatically shut off at traffic lights, level crossings, or intersections; pressing the clutch (in the case of a manual gearbox) will restart the engine automatically. The advantage is reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. You must know that this function does not drain the battery and therefore does not affect its lifespan.
