Follow these brief and simple steps to activate or deactivate the Start&Stop system of the Mini Cooper. First, get inside the vehicle and start the engine; the Start&Stop button is located behind the gear lever, as shown in the video.

Normally, the Start&Stop system is always active on the first engine start, and it can be deactivated by pressing the designated button; the small display on the instrument cluster will indicate that the Start&Stop is activated. It will function when you stop the vehicle with the gearbox in neutral; pressing the clutch pedal will restart the engine.
