In the following guide dedicated to those of you who own a second edition Mini Countryman, we will explain how you can replace the small button battery located inside the car key on your own. First, you need to have a new CR2032 model battery, then remove the emergency key from inside the cover and disassemble the cover.

At this point, locate the battery door protection cap and remove it as well.

Finally, all you have to do is replace the old battery with the new one and correctly reassemble the protective cover.
