Let's see how to remove the electronic roof closure on a Mini: use a screwdriver to pry between the roof plastic and the headlining panel (without breaking anything), pull the plastic closure out of the panel and disconnect the power connector (remove the adjacent piece if necessary). Replace the damaged part with a new one. Refit the new roof motor in its housing (push the plastic with your hands until the tabs lock into the side plastic). Test the correct operation of the roof after installation.
