How to Install Union Jack Tail Lights on a MINI Countryman

To install Union Jack tail lights on a MINI Countryman F60, open the tailgate and remove the interior trims that allow access to the fixing points of the light units. After disconnecting the electrical connector, unscrew the fixing nuts and gently pull out the original lamp. At this point, install the new Union Jack lamp, connecting the connector and ensuring the seals are correctly positioned before tightening the fixings. Repeat the same operation on the opposite side. On pre-facelift models, installing the original Union Jack lights may require a retrofit kit with wiring modifications and subsequent coding of the control unit to ensure all lighting functions work correctly and avoid errors on the instrument cluster. For models already equipped with full LED tail lights, installation may be simpler depending on the vehicle configuration. At the end, it is advisable to check the operation of the position lights, stop lights, indicators, reverse lights, and fog lights.
