How to Change the Key Battery of a Mini R55/R56

The first thing to do for this operation is to obtain a new battery to replace the dead one. It is a CR2032 button battery, which can be easily found at any supermarket or electronics store. On the back of the key, you will find a small slot, where you will insert the tip of a small screwdriver, gently prying to lift and remove the top cover.

With the cover removed, the CR2032 battery will come out. Take the new battery and place it inside the slot. Take the back cover and align it correctly with the key. Press it until you hear it click shut.

The cover, once closed, will secure the battery in the correct position.
