In order to replace the battery of the Mini Cooper R56 you have to open the hood, so that you can access the components that are inside the engine compartment. The device will in fact be positioned immediately under the windshield, under a plastic cover on the driver's side. By removing the cover and loosening the bolts that secure the battery, it will be possible to slide the device out of its housing, replacing it with a new one.
