How to Replace the Key Battery on a Mini Cooper?

Press the silver button located at the top end of the key to extract the emergency key from inside the electronic key. Next, using a flathead screwdriver and applying leverage, remove the rear cover of the key. Once the rear cover is removed, you will reach the battery cover, which also needs to be removed with the flathead screwdriver. By doing this, you will uncover the exhausted battery, which you can simply remove by pulling it out, and you will have finished the disassembly. At this point, to install the new battery and close the key, just repeat these steps in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
