Replacing the Ignition Coil

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007

Obtain the correct replacement coil. To access the coil replacement, only a few tools are needed. Start by removing the metal cover by unscrewing the relevant bolts. Disconnect the ignition coil connector and unscrew the two securing bolts with a ratchet wrench, removing them manually to prevent them from falling. You can now remove the coil by pulling it upwards. Refit the new coil, ensuring the high-tension connectors are correctly positioned. Reinsert the two securing bolts and reconnect the power connector. If necessary, replace the spark plugs. Conduct a functionality test.
