How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a Mini

On the Mini, work is done from the engine bay, starting from the upper area of the engine where the coils and spark plugs are located. After clearing access, remove the plastic cover above the engine to reach the coil assembly: work on the connections and pull each coil from its seat, allowing access to the spark plug wells. At this point, use a long spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet: unscrew and remove the old spark plugs one at a time, then compare them with the new ones before reinstallation. Screw in the new spark plugs carefully, ensuring they are threaded straight, and in the final phase, use a torque wrench for the final tightening. Once the spark plugs are done, reinstall the coils in their respective wells, reconnect the connectors, and replace the engine cover, leaving the bay tidy as it was at the start.
