This video shows how to remove and replace the parking sensors on a Mini Cooper R56 by following these simple steps. You can also perform the replacement with the bumper attached (although it becomes more difficult to access); first, locate the parking sensors behind the bumper and detach them by rotating them, then disconnect their electrical connectors as shown in the video.

At this point, proceed with their replacement, and check afterwards that the parking sensor issue has been resolved!
