How to deactivate Start / Stop in the Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini F57, F56, F55, F54 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Checks and maintenance

The Start & Stop system allows the car to switch off automatically during a prolonged stop, for example waiting for a red light. Often the system can be too intrusive and therefore it is necessary to deactivate it. In the Mini Cooper r55, r56 and r57, where Start / Stop is provided, there is a button on the center console to the left of the ignition button. Pressing it, an orange light will indicate system deactivation. Unfortunately, however, the car will not keep the setting over time, but will instead reset the setting to the default one, ie with the Start / Stop system active. We should therefore deactivate it every time the vehicle is turned on.

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
