Replacing the remote battery on a 2015 Mini Cooper is a fairly simple procedure. To access it, remove the rear cover of the remote, possibly using a flat-head screwdriver to help pry it off. Once this piece is removed, you will need to displace an additional circular cover that secures it, using the emergency key to lever it off. At this point, simply replace the old battery with the new one and reattach the two plastic covers. This type of remote uses a single button lithium battery, which can be purchased for a few pounds.
