To code the key of a Mini, insert the unprogrammed key into the ignition lock: then, connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port, located at the bottom left of the steering column. Once the scanner is connected, select the car model in question and the corresponding version to execute the coding procedure.

Once completed, disconnect the scanner, ensuring that the key functions correctly.
