How do you replace the timing belt of a Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini R55, R57, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Timing belt

In order to replace the timing belt of the Mini, you need to lift the car to loosen the bolts that secure the right front wheel: this can be removed along with the corresponding wheel arch. At this point, it will be possible to loosen the central nut of the tensioning roller, removing it completely and reducing the tension of the belt: this can now be removed from the crankshaft pulley and camshaft pulleys. In this way, it will be possible to insert a new belt, also mounting all the components previously removed.
