How to replace the thermostat of the Mini Cooper S

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Thermostat

Let's see in this guide the instructions on how to disassemble and replace the thermostat of the Mini Cooper S. First, we open the hood of our car and start draining the coolant by disconnecting the radiator hose. Then, we disconnect the thermostat's electrical connector and unscrew the fastening screws to remove it. At this point, we install the new original thermostat, and then top it up with new antifreeze fluid (suitable for our radiator). We pour the new fluid until it reaches the maximum level mark!
