In this video, we see how to behave in the event that the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) warning light comes on in our Mini Cooper Diesel. This light comes on when the particulate filter is clogged, which happens when we have traveled in the city where the DPF does not have a chance to regenerate. In this case, the best thing to do is to drive on a free stretch of road at around 90 km/h, maintaining a constant speed and keeping the engine revs above 2500 rpm, while remaining in fourth gear. This allows the filter to clear itself of impurities and initiate the regeneration process. It will be necessary to drive at least thirty kilometers.
