Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on the Mini One

To prevent dust and dirt from entering the air conditioning system of the Mini One, a specific filter is installed on the intake. To maintain its efficiency, replace it periodically; start by moving to the front passenger seat. Under the glove compartment, you will find the cover of the filter box. Open it by acting on the retaining clips, remove the old filter element from its guide, and replace it with a new one, preferably one with activated carbon for better filtering capability. Insert it into its guide respecting the flow direction and close the cover.
