Mini - Video tutorial

Model: Mini Mini R55, R56, R57 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Valve
Operation: How to mount a Mini variable time solenoid valve

Let's see in this guide how to disassemble a variable time solenoid valve. We pull the bar at the bottom left of the dashboard, open the bonnet putting it in safety and identify the piece on which to intervene. With a socket wrench we unscrew the metal clamp and with a screwdriver we pull the locking tab located at the other end of the ventilation tube making it come out. We unscrew the other steel clamp that tightens the plastic sleeve, being careful not to damage the edge of the same. Once we have managed to disassemble the piece, we disconnect the power supply clamp located near the sleeve, with a ratchet wrench we unscrew the pin of the car's variable time solenoid valve. We assemble the new valve after having lubricated it with the suitable pin, we reconnect the electrical clamp, then we assemble the plastic sleeve with the respective clamps. We are always careful to tighten all the pins and screws well.

Let's see below how it is possible to reset the low tire pressure signal on the car: first of all it is necessary to check the correct tire pressure by comparing it with the pressures reported in the use and maintenance manual. After that, turn on the ignition and locate the command on the right side of the steering wheel at the top that allows you to access the on-board computer menu, then select the car symbol, after which select the "up arrow" command up to that the indication "tire pressure" appears on the display. At that point, press the "Ok" control on the steering wheel and keep it pressed to reset the signal.
