In this video, see how to install a compact bike rack for a Mini Countryman: It is necessary to have already fitted the tow bar, which in the UK must be installed by a workshop that issues a declaration of correct installation (there is no longer a need to have the vehicle tested at the MTCTC). No special tools are required for installation; open the bike rack and remove the fixing arms, then mount them onto the support clip. Unlock the tightening lever and rotate it upwards. It is ready for mounting; you can lift the bike rack and push the support horizontally over the ball head, aligning it parallel to the bumper and lowering the tightening lever until it clicks into place, then lock it. Insert the plug into the bike rack and close it by rotating it 90°, then check that all lights are functioning; in some countries, it is necessary to fit a repeater number plate (also in the UK).
