How to reset the service light on most versions of the Mini

Model: Mini Mini R55, R57, R56 - Years 2007-2014

In this video we see how to reset the service light on most versions of the Mini: first insert the key, and without pressing the brake or clutch, press the start button. Wait for the maintenance signal to disappear from the dashboard. When this happens, immediately press the two buttons on the tachometer. Keep holding them down; the system will perform the tachometer light examination. When it shows the VIN code, continue to hold down until the display is reset. Release the right button for about a second. Then press and hold down the left button again. Now use the "BC" button to scroll to the relevant maintenance menu, then hold it down again until the reset is complete. Turn off and turn on the dashboard. The light should now be off.
