To install a Smart radio in a Mitsubishi Mirage, start by removing the radio trim from the vehicle. Use a plastic trim tool to assist you. Next, unscrew the radio unit from its mount. There are only 4 screws. Remember, before performing this operation, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. There are many electrical connectors to disconnect, and it's better to work safely. Now connect the new unit, making sure to check the wiring functionality first. If everything is okay, connect it. Then, reconnect the battery to check its functionality. At this point, all that's left is to secure the screws and reposition the plastic trim that you removed first. The job is complete.
