Many Android radios based on generic firmware default to a "sleep" mode instead of a complete shutdown. In this mode, the screen turns off and the unit appears off, but the processor remains in a low-power standby state, ready to turn on when the key is next turned.

However, this low power consumption is not as low as it seems, and left for several days in cars with small batteries, it can completely drain them. By setting it to "shutdown", the radio truly powers off. Enter the "settings/auto/sleep mode" menu.

On some models, changing this option requires a code (often 1234, 8888, or 0000). If the manufacturer has locked this option, access the "factory settings" menu. Once in "sleep mode", set it to "off" or "shutdown". Set the option, turn off the car completely, wait one minute, and then restart the car. If the Android startup logo appears, the unit has powered off correctly.

If the screen reopens with the usual display, the unit is still in sleep mode.

Where is the Wiper Motor Fuse Located in a VW Touran?

The Volkswagen Touran has two fuse boxes. The first fuse box is located inside the cabin, behind the driver's side dashboard panel. The second fuse box is located under the bonnet, near the battery. Both fuse box covers have stickers indicating the amperage and the names of the fuses contained within. Today, you will learn how to remove the wiper fuse. Open the fuse box and use needle-nose pliers to remove fuse number 1, which is a 20 Amp green fuse. Insert a new fuse of the same type and close the fuse box.
