To change the engine oil on a Moto Guzzi California, start by lifting the bike on a stable stand to ensure safe access. Position a container under the engine to collect the used oil. Locate the oil drain plug, usually found at the bottom of the engine, and unscrew it with an appropriate spanner.

Allow the oil to fully drain into the container. Once the oil has completely drained, replace the drain plug and tighten it well to avoid leaks.

At this point, fill the engine with new oil through the filler cap, which is generally located at the top of the engine. After filling with the recommended amount of oil, start the engine for a few minutes and check for any leaks.

Finally, turn off the engine and check the oil level again to ensure it is correct.
