Before starting, position your MV Augusta Brutale 1078 upright using the appropriate motorcycle stand, and then run the engine for a few minutes. Begin by unscrewing and removing the lower oil drain plug to allow the engine oil to drain out. Once the oil has drained, re-screw the drain plug, then unscrew and remove the upper refill cap. At this point, unscrew and remove the oil filter, completing the disassembly.

To fit the new oil filter, simply screw it into the corresponding housing, and you will have completed the replacement.
