In this video, we see how to safely and reversibly deactivate the Start & Stop system of the Nissan Qashqai. Of course, it can be done from the specific button, but we will have to remember to press it every time we restart the vehicle. If we want to keep it inactive for a longer period of time, then we need to follow these simple instructions: open the hood, and about a palm's distance from the battery, we find a sensor that is activated only if the hood is pressed down on it. We can disconnect it, but it is easier to remove it from its housing and put it back in place, but in a horizontal position so that the hood does not activate it. This way, the actuator is always in place, and when we decide to reactivate the Start & Stop, all we have to do is put it back in a vertical position.
