How to Replace the Cabin Air Fan on the Nissan Qashqai

This guide shows how to replace the cabin air fan in the passenger compartment of the Nissan Qashqai produced from 2007 to 2013. The first step is to remove the glove compartment, secured by six screws. Next, remove the side trim of the climate control column. The cabin air fan is located behind this plastic cover and behind two air conditioning ducts. To remove the rotor, disconnect the power cable and unscrew a single fixing screw. Extraction may be slightly difficult due to the air conditioning pipes, but with a bit of manoeuvring, it can be removed. Replacement requires following the same steps in reverse. No special tools are needed for this operation.
