How to Replace the Car Door Lock

Model: Nissan Micra K11 - Years 1992-2002

Replacing the lock is necessary if it has been forced due to an attempted theft or simply because the internal components have worn to the point where they can no longer read the key's code and thus open; the replacement is relatively straightforward if you remove the door panel; once the panel is removed and the lock housing is accessed, you will find a metal tab which is the retaining circlip of the locking pin: disconnect the mechanism from the locking pin, remove the circlip, and take out the old lock to insert the new one.
