How to Replace the Key Battery of the Nissan X Trail

Model: Nissan X Trail MK 2, T31 - Years 2007-2014

First, test the key in every way to confirm that the battery is no longer functioning. Extract the key from the remote by changing the position of the switch on the back of the remote and pulling out the top part of the key. This allows you to open your vehicle even with a dead battery. Now, use a flathead screwdriver to separate the two parts of the key to access the battery, which will be immediately visible upon opening the key. Replace the battery and reverse the steps for reassembly.
