How to remove the starter motor on an Opel/Vauxhall Astra MK-H MK-G

In this video we see how to remove the starter motor on an Opel Astra MKH or MKG; the first step is to remove the battery with its tray, which is held by two 13 mm bolts. Now we see another 18 mm bolt located under the cable protection sheath, which is quite difficult to see and reach, but we can do it with an extension. After that, we need to move under the car, where we find three connections that need to be removed: a 13 mm nut, then a black cable attached with a torx, and a red cable attached with a 13 mm bolt. We also need to remove the oil tubing located right in front of the starter motor. The youtuber replaced the very old starter motor with a used one: these parts are easily found online but it is impossible to give a purchasing indication for used ones. We recommend checking the part very carefully before purchasing it, so that it is perfectly compatible with our car.
