Today we will discover the instructions on how to remove and replace the starter motor on a Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTi in simple steps. First, open the engine bay of the vehicle and begin by removing the battery, unscrewing the bracket screw and disconnecting both terminals (positive and negative); also remove the battery tray, as shown in the video.

Next, unscrew the upper bolts of the starter motor, then lift the vehicle to complete its removal (disconnecting the electrical wiring); replace it with a new original one and reassemble everything.
