Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006
Part: Engine
Operation: Engine head gasket replacement

Before even installing the new cylinder head gasket, it is absolutely essential to check that the previous overheating has not deformed the surface of both the cylinder head and the crankcase: therefore use a ground bar and a thickness gauge for valves to exclude the aforementioned deformations; then re-pass the threads of the head fixing holes with a tap having the appropriate diameter and pitch, taking care not to let chip residues end up in the cylinders; evaluate the pistons coming out at the top dead center with respect to the crankcase to exclude any contacts with the valves; then apply the centering bushings, the new head gasket and the head itself and use a new set of pins for fixing, applying copper grease to the bottom of the thread and under the head; finally use a cross-type locking scheme by tightening the pins both with the torque wrench and with the graduated wrench.

How to replace the AdBlue tank on Peugeot 3008

In order to replace the AdBlue tank on the car it is necessary to know that it is located above the diesel tank and therefore under the rear trunk floor and to access it it is necessary: first of all lift the car on the deck, then remove the lower metal protective casing of the tank and under it we will find the diesel tank. Then proceed to disassemble the tank with the help of a forklift to support it. Once the diesel tank has been freed and lowered, above it we will find the small AdBlue tank.
