Head Gasket Replacement Guide

The head gasket is placed between the cylinder and the cylinder head and serves to ensure that oil and coolant do not come into contact with each other and leak. Usually, the main cause of damage to this gasket is overheating. The first step is to drain the engine oil, remove the injection assembly and air filter, disconnect the alternator belt and accessory belt, and unscrew the spark plugs and their respective leads. The timing belt and engine block have two clearly visible reference marks; before removing the belt, ensure that the two marks align perfectly. Once these steps are completed, the cylinder head can be separated from the cylinders.
