A common problem with the Opel Astra 1.7 J CDTi is related to the head gasket.

In this video we see a defect unfortunately quite common on Opel Astra J CDTI vehicles, which concerns the breaking of the cylinder head gasket, which unfortunately does not show any symptoms, and which almost always breaks between the third and fourth piston; unfortunately, as we see in the video, a large hole has been dug in the cylinder head. The car in question has always been regularly serviced, so we cannot blame maintenance neglect. The defect, which occurs on several models, has not led to any recalls by the Manufacturer.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
