Dismantling and Cleaning the EGR Valve on Opel Astra G

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

Lift the bonnet and secure it. Observe the area to your right and disconnect the connector located before the white reservoir: this is the connector for the EGR valve. You can dismantle it using a T45 Torx key and unscrewing the two bolts as clearly shown in the video. If you need to clean the valve, it is advisable to power it up (as done in the video) to clean it better with a decarbonising spray and a wire brush. If you need to replace it, simply proceed in reverse for reassembly. As you can see, it is a very simple operation.
