How to Change the Wishbone on the Opel Corsa D

Here’s how to change the front suspension wishbone on an Opel Corsa D: lift the front of the car and secure it on axle stands. Remove the wheel from the side you need to work on, take off the wheel arch liner, and disconnect the hub arm, securing the pin with a 16mm spanner and unscrewing the nut with a socket. Locate the two mounting bolts for the wishbone to the chassis, and using a T18 key, unscrew the head and nut of the bolt until the old wishbone is removed. Lubricate the mounting bolts with grease to facilitate assembly and prevent seizing in the future. Present the wishbone and screw in the two mounting bolts to the chassis, then reconnect it to the hub by inserting it into its housing on the hub and tightening the nut. Tighten the ball joint nut and the bolts that secure the wishbone to the chassis; to align the second hole more easily, you can slightly lift the brake disc with the jack. Refit the wheel arch liner, reattach the wheel, and if necessary, move to the other side.
