Here’s how to remove and clean the EGR valve from a 2017 Opel Movano. First, disconnect the electrical connectors of the valve, then remove the pipes and the bolts that secure the valve. The video shows that there are two bolts on one side, two on the other, and additional bolts connecting to the pipe. A critical point, especially during reassembly, is the plastic support that holds the wiring. The valve is in an awkward position and requires some force to be extracted. Once removed, use a specific cleaning product, such as Arexons, which can be found on Amazon with code B01FY0IDDQ for £14.50. In addition to the product, some elbow grease is needed to remove carbon deposits. On the Opel Movano, the EGR valve is liquid-cooled, so there was coolant in the pipes you disconnected, which will have spilled out, resulting in the expansion tank being nearly empty, so it will need to be topped up.
