How to Change the Brake Light Bulb on the Rear Lights of an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016
Part: Tail light bulb

Open the rear hatch of the Opel Astra J and unscrew all the screws securing the headlamp, then gently pull it out of the compartment. At the back of the headlamp, locate the plastic cover protecting the bulbs, unclip or unscrew the fasteners and remove the cover. Extract the burnt bulb and insert the new one. Reposition the plastic cover and secure it with the fasteners or screws, then reinsert the headlamp into its original position and screw all the screws back in. Close the hatch and press the brake pedal to check that the brake light works correctly before finishing the operation.
