Replacement of Front Shock Absorber Spring

Model: Vauxhall Vectra Vectra C, MK 3 - Years 2002-2008

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift or suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; proceed to detach the link connecting the shock absorber to the suspension arm; then remove the fastening bolts of the shock absorber from its support, disconnecting the brake sensor wiring. Once the shock absorber is free from the hub, access the engine bay and remove the fastening nut from its support on the strut. After extracting the shock absorber from its seat, use suitable clamps to compress the spring, remove the upper support, and extract the damaged spring. Compress the new spring with the clamps and insert it into the shock absorber, secure the upper support, and release the spring. Reverse the process for installation in the vehicle. It is not necessary to intervene on the spring of the other shock absorber as they are not subject to wear.
