How to Replace the Main Beam Bulb on the Opel Astra

If you need to replace the main beam headlight bulbs on your vehicle and perhaps want to install LED headlights, proceed as follows: First, open the bonnet and locate the bulb you wish to replace. Access the rear of the headlamp assembly with your hand and unscrew the cover by turning it anti-clockwise. Under the cover, you will find the electrical connector that needs to be disconnected. Next, open the clip that holds the bulb by pulling it upwards, allowing you to extract the bulb. Take the new bulb, position it inside the headlamp, reattach the retaining clip, and reconnect the connector.
