If your bulb is no longer functioning and has blown, or if you want to install a brighter bulb than the standard one, you will need to replace it; in this case, you should purchase a T11 bulb model that is 36 millimetres long. To remove the bulb, use a screwdriver to pry it out of its socket. Once removed, simply take out the old bulb and install the new one, ensuring it is correctly connected to the respective contacts.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. Under this panel, you will find the fuses, including the one for the central locking, which is indicated in the manual as number 14.
