Repainting the Mirror Caps on Opel Corsa

To remove the cap from the external wing mirror, first adjust the mirror (that is, the glass) fully inwards, so you can get your fingers or a small screwdriver in to remove it from its housing. There are three clips for the cap: one at the bottom, one at the top, and one on the side.

Now, sand down both caps to remove the previous paint and apply a coat of plastic primer. Allow it to dry and then apply the first coat of gloss black; let it dry completely and apply a second coat.

Finally, apply a coat of clear lacquer. You can then refit the caps in their place.
