To remove the third brake light, open the boot and unscrew the side pins attached to the plastic cover that serve as support for the parcel shelf cables. At this point, detach the plastic covers from the top of the boot by levering along the edges to access the metal tabs that secure the third brake light to the bodywork through the designated holes.

Use a flathead screwdriver to press the tabs to extract the third brake light. Next, disconnect the washer nozzle pipe and then the power connector.

How to Activate the Disabled TRC on the Toyota Yaris?

As the video clearly shows, disabling or activating the traction control (TRC or ESP) on the Toyota Yaris is very simple. By default, the traction system activates every time the vehicle is started. To disable it, simply press the button depicting a skidding car located in the centre of the vehicle where the controls are, such as the hazard lights and the radio, but near the handbrake.
