Removing and Replacing the Instrument Cluster of the Peugeot 3008

Learn how to replace the instrument cluster of a Peugeot 3008: with the vehicle off. Locate the cover above the cluster, which is a plastic panel that clips under the instrument cluster; insert a screwdriver at the sides of the cover and pry downwards to release it. At the top of the cluster, there are two upper grooves: push inwards to retract the pins, being careful that the first one does not re-engage while removing the other. Behind the cluster, you will find two electrical connectors; disconnect them. Before purchasing a used cluster (many can be found online), check the part number (9808xxxx) and the mileage: the BSI synchronises with the highest value, so if the new cluster has lower mileage, the original values of the car will prevail; if it has higher mileage, it will display the cluster's mileage (and it will be necessary to correct it with dedicated tools like Diagbox). Connect the connectors to the new cluster, insert it into the housing until you hear the "click" of the locking pins, and reassemble the upper cover.
