How to Fix the Fan Issue on a 2013 Peugeot 2008

In this video, see how to resolve a problem affecting the Peugeot 2008 and many other Peugeot models: the climate control fan not working (and consequently, neither the air conditioning nor the heating). The cause is almost always the electrical connector of the fan motor overheating, which melts the plastic of the connector and pin, interrupting the contact. The good news is that you do not need to dismantle half the car to reach the fan motor: the connector is located on the passenger side (left-hand drive), under the dashboard you need to look for a wire going to the fan motor, leading to a rectangular connector with two wires (usually one brown and one blue/red); disconnect the connector, which may be melted and therefore break. If the damage is minor, you can try cleaning the pins with contact spray and a small brush, but if the damage is evident as shown in the video, the solution is to cut off the connector and solder the two wires, ensuring each connection is well insulated with heat-resistant tape.
