How to Remove the Passenger Airbag from a Peugeot 206

Removing the passenger airbag from a Peugeot 206 requires patience: first, disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes for the capacitors to discharge. Remove the glove compartment by unscrewing the side screws to access the back of the dashboard. The airbag is secured with four upper nuts and four lower screws, located behind the panel. Unscrewing the upper ones is tricky, but you can manage with a socket and extension. Even after the screws are removed, the airbag is still held by two side plastic tabs that clip into the dashboard. Carefully release them by prying. The electrical connector is short: for convenience, you can unscrew the three screws securing the plastic support and move it slightly. If, as in the video, your goal is to repair the dashboard, you will also need to remove the rivets (7 per side), so the operation will also require a riveter.
