Video tutorial

To replace the rear brake discs and pads on a Peugeot 5008, you will need: multi-grip pliers, wire brush, torque wrench, ratchet, 13 mm spanner, 36 mm socket, Torx T40 socket. After securing the vehicle, use the ratchet and socket to rotate the handbrake cable lever, then remove the cable from the lever with the pliers.

Using a small flat screwdriver, pull the handbrake cable to release it from its seat. With a 13 mm spanner and ratchet, loosen the two screws of the caliper (bracket).

Lift the caliper and remove it. Extract the old pads. Use a flat screwdriver to remove the hub nut cover.

With a punch and hammer, tap the notch of the nut to loosen it. Using a 36 mm socket, unscrew the hub nut. With the ratchet and Torx socket, unscrew the screws of the caliper bracket (starting from the bottom one). Remove the caliper bracket and the disc.

Clean the hub shaft.

Compare the new discs (diameter, ABS ring) and new pads (size, shape). Clean the caliper bracket with brake cleaner and wire brush.

Reposition the caliper bracket and caliper, tightening the two screws. Insert a piston retractor and push back the piston by rotating it. Remove the caliper and bracket.

Install the new disc, which can be found on eBay with code 278175185673 for £79.54 with free delivery. Position and hand-tighten the hub nut. Using a torque wrench, tighten the hub nut to 150 Nm. With a hammer and punch, create a notch on the edge of the nut. Position the new nut cover and gently tap all around.

Install the new pads. Position the caliper bracket and tighten the screws.

Refit the caliper and tighten the screws with a 13 mm spanner (starting from the top one). Insert the end of the handbrake cable into its seat and pull it to click it in place. Rotate the handbrake cable lever so that the end returns to its seat.

Press the brake pedal several times to reposition the piston.

How to Replace the Cabin Filter on the Ford Puma

To replace the cabin filter on the Ford Puma, detach the small cover located on the left side of the front passenger footwell: once this is removed, loosen the underlying screw so that you can detach the corresponding panel. At this point, locate the filter box underneath, which can be opened to remove the filter inside. The new filter can then be inserted, covering everything with the box and refitting the corresponding panel into its housing.
