Programming Remote Key for Peugeot and Citroën

On many Peugeot and Citroën models, it is necessary to reprogram the key after replacing the battery of the central locking remote. In this specific case, we will describe the procedure to be performed on a Peugeot 206, but as mentioned, this procedure also works on Citroën C3 and other Peugeot and Citroën models. First, insert the key and turn on the dashboard without starting the engine. Once the dashboard is on, press and hold the unlock button on the remote for about 10 to 15 seconds. After holding the unlock button for 10 to 15 seconds, simply turn off the dashboard and release the unlock button. At this point, the reprogramming should be successful, allowing you to remove the key and test the remote's operation.
